Frauenhaus Steyr offers protection, refuge and housing for women and their children who have been abused and/or are threatened by violence.

At this number 07252 / 877 00 a stuff of the women’s shelter can be reached 24/7. Admission to the shelter ist possible at any time. The only requirement is a legal residence in Austria.

The women can stay in the women’s shelter with their children. Each woman lives in a room alone or with her children, the kitchen and bathroom are shared with other women.

If possible, take all important documents from you an your children with you when getting admitted. Also bring school supplies, favorite toys of the children, and personal items. In case of emergency, we can support you with everyday necessities in the women’s shelter.

In the women’s shelter you can think in a calm and safe environment about how things should continue for you and your children. We support you in developing new perspectives and offer help in organizational matters.

If you do not need the protection of the women’s shelter, you still have the opportunity to take advantage of free and anonymous advice. We advise on issues such as physical, psychological or sexual violence, separation and divorce, stalking, expulsion and prohibition to return orders and interim injunctions, family crises etc.
